Meet the Team

Stephanie

After spending a decade in Toronto working in retail, the arts and childcare sectors, Stephanie returned to her hometown of Ottawa to work on the 2018 municipal election and became deeply engaged with local issues. After working on Rawlson King’s by-election in 2019 she worked in his office at City Hall for three years, before leaving to run Ariel’s campaign in 2022.

Stephanie has worked on a range of municipal issues and is the legislative and policy lead in the office. She is looking forward to collaborating with residents and the Ward 14 team to build a better community for everyone.  

Tess

Tess grew up in Rockland and moved to Ottawa in 2016 to pursue a career in the music industry. During her time working in music, she booked hundreds of events across Ottawa, focusing on highlighting our local talent. In the past, she has worked on projects to increase funding for veterans’ services, boost harm reduction services and more recently has worked to support victims of workplace abuse.

Tess handles economic development, arts & culture and By-law related work in our office. When she's not working you can find her at one of the many live music venues and bars throughout Somerset Ward. 

 

Charlotte

Charlotte grew up in Ottawa and completed her M.A. in urban planning at the University of Waterloo, where she became passionate about affordable housing. Outside of work she enjoys knitting, baking and films. 

Charlotte handles all things planning in our office. She’s excited to use her background in planning and affordable housing to help neighbours in Somerset Ward and across Ottawa, making sure everyone has a safe place to call home. 

Stan

Stanislav is the son of immigrant refugee parents.  He has worked front line social work for twenty years beginning in Montreal, Vancouver, and today Ottawa, supporting and journeying with those adversely affected by colonization, the drug war and legislated poverty.  He has been involved in housing & migrant justice advocacy, anti poverty and drug user activism throughout his career.  After working as a harm reduction worker in the ward for over a decade during the peak of the overdose crisis, Stan aims to bring the voice and knowledge of those in the community who have been traditionally excluded from processes of political power. 

In this role as a case worker, he aims to support residents seeking support navigating a variety of barriers, problems, crisis and bureaucratic mazes.
